Rack

Posted by Michael Dale on Tue, 14 Feb 2006 2:05 PM

Well we installed our rack last weekend. I'll put better pictures up online at our house blog later.

Here it is
Compaq Rack at Marian Street

From what you can see:
TOP LEFT: 2x Netgear WG602 v2 802.11g Access Points (One for standard use, one turned only on when WEP is needed)
TOP RIGHT: Billion 7402R2 ADSL 2+ Modem and under is our router (blue), a Juniper Netscreen 5gt.
The two desktop PCs:
LEFT: Webserver. Dual Pentium 3 650MHz, 1gb Ram, 80gb SATA Raid 1, FreeBSD 5.4
RIGHT: Mailserver/Fileserver/Backup DNS. Pentium 4 2.4GHz, 1gb Ram, 160gb IDE HDD, Windows 2003
Rack mount servers:
Top: DNS (has about 30 zones). Dual Pentium 2 400MHz, 640mb Ram, 2x36gb U160 10k SCSI Raid 1, 3x9gb SCSI Raid 5, FreeBSD 5.4
Second: No task yet. Dual Pentium 3 866MHz, 1.2gb Ram, 2x18gb SCSI Raid
Last: No task yet. Dual Althon MP 1800+

There is more in the rack but that isn't in the photo.

Dead computer

Someone plugged a USB key into their computer at work and blew up both motherboard and PSU, wow!

On a more import topic. What are we going to eat tonight? Any ideas would be great, something simple, quick and nice :)
